Jeddah



Jeddah, a Saudi Arabian port city on the Red Sea, is a modern commercial hub and gateway for pilgrims to the Islamic holy cities Mecca and Medina. The city's Al-Balad historic district dates to the 7th century and retains traditional homes built from coral. The principal importance of Jeddah in history is that it constituted the port of Mecca and was thus the site where the majority of Muslim pilgrims landed while journeying to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.    more





Medina

Medina, formally Al-Madinah al-Munawwarah ("The Luminous City"), ancient Yathrib, is located in the Hejaz region of western Saudi Arabia, about 100 miles (160 km) inland from the Red Sea and 275 miles from Mecca by road. It is the second holiest city in Islam, after Mecca. Medina is celebrated as the place from which Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) established the Muslim community (Ummah), after his flight from Mecca (622 ce) and is where his holy tomb is situated.    more







Riyadh



Riyadh, Saudi Arabia's capital and main financial hub, is on a desert plateau in the country's center. Business district landmarks include the 302m-high Kingdom Centre, with a sky bridge connecting 2 towers, and 267m-high Al Faisaliah Centre, with a glass-globe summit. The spectacular sight of Riyadh from the air, illuminated in the evening by city lights, is reminiscent of its eponymous meadows; a bright sea of lights dot the desert as if fluorescent flower gardens have blossomed among its dark contours.    more





Sharjah

Sharjah is the third most populated city in the United Arab Emirates. The city expands over an area of approximately 235 km2 and has a population of over 1.275 million. Historically, Sharjah was known to be one of the wealthiest towns in the respective region. Today, it is considered to be the Cultural Capital of the Arab World. Known as a hub for culture and industry, Sharjah offers visitors an insight into Islamic and Arabic art, literature, and architecture. Islamabad is the capital city of Pakistan built during the 1960s. Peshawar



Peshawar is the capital of KPK province. Peshawar is situated in a large valley near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, close to the Pak-Afghan border. It is the cultural center of the Northwest region of Pakistan. Various hand crafts such as shoes, leather work, glazed pottery, wax and embroidery work, copper utensils, turbans, carpets, ivory work, and knives are also made in Peshawar. Peshawar's recorded history dates back to at least 539 BC, making it the oldest city in Pakistan and South Asia.    more

The city is known as the fruit garden of Pakistan, due to the large variety of fruits and dry fruits produced there. The city is the divisional and district headquarters and is an important marketing and communications center. The city lies on the Bolan Pass route which was once the only gateway from Central Asia to South Asia. Quetta played an important role militarily for the Pakistani Armed Forces in Afghanistan conflict.    more
